Welcome to the Southern New England School of Law (SNESL) Archives. SNESL was founded in 1981 by Dr. Alfred Avins. Throughout its history, the Law School was located in Fall River and New Bedford before moving to its location at 333 Faunce Corner Road in Dartmouth. The first degrees were conferred in 1989. In 1995, the Law School had nearly 400 students, 13 professors, and 24 adjunct faculty members led by the Honorable Francis Larkin as Dean. In 2010, SNESL merged with UMass Dartmouth to become the University of Massachusetts School of Law, the only public law school in the Commonwealth. This page is currently under development, but is the future home of SNESL course catalogs, commencement invitations and programs, graduation photos, yearbooks, and much more! If you have any questions, please reach out to the Law Library at lawlib@umassd.edu.
