Abstract

Moreover, while it might be true that spectators know there is some risk of being struck at a game, where the risk is so genuinely remote, is it really accurate to say fans knowingly and voluntarily assume that risk? And even if it were, is it fair to impose that cost on a single unfortunate fan when the teams and leagues can so better absorb the cost?
