Abstract
Torts casebooks vary greatly in their coverage when detailing the colorful conflicts that tell the tales abound in the jurisdictions throughout the United States. One case that makes the cut across several books a staple of the 1L pantheon is the peculiar Vosburg v. Putney, an 1891 decision of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Like many a litigation, there is so much more than meets the eye.
